Nurturing the Wounded Self: Healing the Nervous System Guided Meditation
Today on HeartBalm Meditations with Sunny, we embark on a journey of nurturing, calming, and healing your nervous system. In this sacred space, we will befriend ourselves as a loving coach and guide, offering solace and support as we explore the depths of self-compassion and inner healing, and where we will tap into the boundless well of love that resides within each of us.
The human experience often carries moments that challenge our nervous system and push it beyond its normal boundaries and safe feeling spaces. The nervous system serves as the body’s vast communication network, including the brain, spinal cord, heart, and extensive intricate pathways of nerves that extend through the body. It is responsible for transmitting messages between the brain and various parts of the body, controlling movement, sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
At times the experiences we encounter can challenge this delicate system, causing it to respond with heightened sensitivity or tension. If you're feeling the turmoil of this imbalance or carrying the weight of triggering experiences, know that you are not alone. This guided meditation offers a sanctuary to soothe and heal your nervous system. Through visualization and self-compassion, we’ll bring balance, calmness, and harmony back to your nervous system and sense of well-being.
